About Colin Newton
Hi, Iām Colin Newton. I am a writer with a long-standing interest in ancient history, faith, mystery and the stories that connect them. My writing grew out of a desire to look again at historical and religious traditions, asking questions about how different pieces of evidence fit together and what they might still mean for us today.
I am in early retirement following a career in computer programming. I have lived in Dover and Ilford, studied at the University of Reading, and now live in Southend, Essex, where I attend Ferndale Baptist Church.
I am autistic and actively involved in improving support for autistic people through a local support group and the Southend Autism Partnership Board.
My interest in history and ancient mysteries has increasingly focused on questions surrounding the accuracy of the Old Testament. While I can jump to conclusions as quickly as anyone else, I believe one of my strengths is the ability to step back, re-examine those conclusions and consider whether they stand up to careful scrutiny.
My goal in writing is to improve understanding of the historical foundations of the Christian faith and to encourage believers to stand firm in increasingly difficult times.
I would also like to mention Onwards & Upwards, who have given me and a number of other Christian authors the opportunity to be published. Please take a look at their website and see if any of their books are of interest to you.
